The Service

We train local prosthetists, advice and supply components in low income countries and post-war zones .  In a typical project, two highly experienced prosthetists will train two leg-fitting teams.  The training is "hands on" from day one.  After training, leg makers are fully qualified to fit prostheses using the O.K. method.  A trainer comes for a follow-up visit and provides further support as needed.  The trainers also provide advice on rehabilitation and arrangements are made for continued supply of components.

With two leg making teams, a work station can produce 50 prostheses in a single week and 2500 in a year!
